PaRK International School is a leading bilingual and international school in Lisbon, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group. As a Microsoft Showcase School, we place a heavy emphasis on digital innovation, ensuring our students develop critical 21st-century skills from an early age through our specialized D-Tech curriculum.
We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and qualified D-Tech Primary Teacher to inspire young learners (Ages 6–10). You will design and deliver a hands-on curriculum that integrates digital literacy, introductory coding, robotics, and the design thinking process, fostering problem-solving skills and creative innovation in a bilingually-supported environment.
- Deliver Curriculum: Plan and deliver engaging D-Tech lessons focusing on digital citizenship, coding, robotics, and design thinking.
- Facilitate Innovation: Guide students through practical, project-based learning and the hands-on engineering/design process.
- Integrate Technology: Manage and utilize classroom tech tools effectively, including iPads, laptops, coding platforms, and robotics kits.
- Manage Environment: Maintain a safe, collaborative, and organized makerspace/classroom environment optimized for teamwork and experimentation.
- Collaborate Globally: Partner with primary homeroom teachers to link D-Tech projects with broader classroom units of inquiry.
- Assess Competencies: Evaluate student progress in digital and technical skills using both formative and project-based assessments.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
- Certification: Internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) or specialized certification in EdTech.
- Languages: Native-level or near-native English fluency (minimum C2 level) with strong communication skills.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching technology, coding, or STEM/STEAM subjects to primary school children.
- Mindset: Expert-level tech proficiency, passion for innovation, strong classroom management, and a deep commitment to child safeguarding.
