In this role, your impact will be centered on working directly with McKinsey colleagues and clients to solve complex business challenges across the full range of the Life Sciences industry, including pharma R&D, operations, medical devices, commercial strategy, and animal health.
You will help scope their most pressing business questions, disaggregating and prioritizing their information needs to find the most effective solutions.
Your responsibilities will be dynamic, ranging from ad-hoc research requests to dedicated, long-term project support. On a day-to-day basis, you will problem-solve across international, cross-functional knowledge and intelligence teams to determine the best approach, balancing quality, timelines, and cost. You will generate critical insights by using a variety of analytical tools (including Excel and Generative AI) on licensed third-party data (like pharmaceutical market and clinical trials data) and proprietary McKinsey data sets. You will communicate your findings by creating clear and compelling end products for clients and consulting teams, such as memos, PowerPoint presentations, and data tables.
You will join McKinsey’s Life Sciences Intelligence (LSi) team in Europe on a full-time basis from our Lisbon office. The LSi team is a vital part of McKinsey’s global Client Capabilities Network (CCN)—an innovative group of over 3,500 colleagues—and represents the firm's second-largest industry practice, with over 80 professionals in hubs across Boston, Lisbon, Poland, India, and China.
Beyond direct client service, you will spend significant time collaborating with tenured colleagues and leaders on the LSi team to advance team priorities. You will be at the core of helping to develop and deliver new tech-enabled capabilities, meaningfully advancing the adoption of our growing portfolio of proprietary analytical and knowledge assets, and helping to automate processes to drive efficiency and deeper insights.
