We are looking for a QA Analyst
CONTEXT
In this role, you will join a Testing Factory team, working in a hybrid model and collaborating with developers, Business Analysts, Application Support teams, and other IT stakeholders located in both Portugal and France.
You will work across different business areas and applications, contributing to the quality and reliability of software solutions through structured testing activities.
The position combines hands-on Quality Assurance responsibilities with a strong test coordination component, requiring continuous communication between different teams and the ability to manage testing activities across multiple stakeholders.
You will work within an Agile environment, contributing to the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of testing activities according to project priorities.
MAIN MISSION
To ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions by designing, executing, and coordinating testing activities, while maintaining effective communication between technical and business teams throughout the testing lifecycle.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain test scenarios, test plans, and test cases.
- Design and execute manual functional tests.
- Analyze requirements and define appropriate testing approaches.
- Execute SQL queries to validate data and application behavior.
- Identify, document, and report defects to development teams.
- Review and analyze test results and ensure proper defect follow-up.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and End-to-End (E2E) testing activities.
- Estimate testing effort and identify potential risks during project planning.
- Prepare test status reports and defect/issue status reports.
- Coordinate testing activities between different teams and stakeholders.
- Follow up on testing progress, dependencies, blockers, and outstanding issues.
- Maintain continuous communication with IT teams and squads located in different countries.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and project meetings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and QA practices.
- Support test automation activities when applicable.
PROFILE & SKILLS
- Around 6 to 9 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
- Strong experience in manual and functional testing.
- Very good knowledge of SQL and experience using SQL Developer.
- Previous experience coordinating testing activities or managing QA activities within a project.
- Strong ability to communicate and coordinate with developers, Business Analysts, Application Support teams, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in international and cross-functional environments.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, autonomous, and organized.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Ability to estimate testing efforts and identify project and testing risks.
- Experience preparing and presenting testing status reports.
- ISTQB certification is highly valued.
- Knowledge of test automation tools such as Katalon or Selenium is a plus.
- Java knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with JIRA/Xray is a plus.
- Experience with API testing using Postman and/or SoapUI is a plus.
- Good level of English for daily communication in an international environment.
