Job Description
The Head of Project Management is heading the Conference Solutions Project Management team, as well actively leading own product development and organizational projects.
The team of project managers are driving projects executed both in‑house, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and through ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) partners, ensuring alignment on scope, quality, cost, timelines, and business objectives. As well leading in-house improvement and change projects.
The role acts as the primary point of coordination between internal stakeholders (Research, NPI product development (engineering), quality, sourcing, branding, operations) and external ODM/OEM partners.
Further this role assures accountability across the internal and external stakeholders, driving for a high performance culture and efficient/effective new product development.
The Head of Project Management further assures the success of the team by building their competences in line with the organization expectations, contribute to the optimization of project development processes and continuous improvement of cross department corporation.

Project management leadership

Define and lead the project management strategy in line with the company vision, growth objectives and priorities

Oversee all running development projects to support portfolio planning and resource forecasting

Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing Project Management team

Pro-actively contribute to the overall organizational targets

Project Planning & Delivery

Lead end‑to‑end product development projects from idea, feasibility, and design through validation, industrialization, and market launch

Assure timely definition of project scope, product requirements, timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables with a continuous focus to maximize business value (MVP, shortened development timelines, budget optimalization)

Manage project execution using structured project management methodologies (e.g. stage‑gate, Agile, hybrid)

Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions

In‑House Product Development
-
Steer cross‑functional internal project teams including engineering, product management, branding, quality, suppliers, supply chain, and manufacturing

Track design changes, documentation, and version control

Support prototype builds, testing, certifications, and design validation

ODM/OEM Partner Management
-
Act as the main project team interface between the company and ODM/OEM partners

Align and optimize ODM/OEM development activities with internal product requirements, specifications, and timelines

Review and challenge ODM/OEM schedules, cost breakdowns, and deliverables

Manage communication, escalation, and issue resolution with ODM/OEM'
5. Risk, Quality & Compliance

Identify project risks related to schedule, cost, technology, suppliers, and compliance

Ensure product development complies with applicable standards, regulations, and company processes

Support quality issue resolution during development and ramp‑up
6. Continuous Improvement

Drive for optimization of project execution

Improve project management processes, tools, and ways of working

Capture lessons learned and best practices from completed projects
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Economics, or a related field
-
5–7+ years of experience in managing complex product development projects, both in‑house development as well externally developed products (ODM/OEM)

Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and stage‑gate processes
-
Experience working with cross‑functional multi-site teams and international suppliers
-
Preferable experience in leading a team of experienced project manager

Strong project planning and organizational skills

Excellent stakeholder and supplier management capabilities

Clear, assertive communicator with strong negotiation skills

Able to manage complexity, ambiguity, and changing priorities

Structured, detail‑oriented, and results‑driven

Comfortable working across technical and commercial domains

Good English skills both verbal and in writing
Tools & Methods (Nice to Have)

Project management tools (e.g. Polarion, DevOps, MS Projects)

Product lifecycle management (PLM) systems (e.g. Arena)

Experience with NPI, DFM/DFA, and industrialization processes

Familiarity with regulatory and certification processes
