The Converter Control Quality & LCM department plays a key role in maintaining Vestas' leadership in sustainable energy. Our team develops, maintains, and ensures the quality of converter control functionalities for all Vestas turbine families, while ensuring full compliance with global grid code requirements.
Within the DevOps & Tools team, we design and deliver specialized tools that support converter control development, enable efficient testing, assist field technicians, improve remote turbine access and data handling, streamline software merging processes, and address other converter control software challenges.
Our department has a reputation for highly skilled professionals who consistently balance innovation with high-quality standards. Leveraging our deep domain knowledge, we provide robust, reliable, and high-performance converter solutions that meet system, product, and grid requirements.
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality and testable code for new and legacy C# and Python codebases to implement fixes or add new features
- Maintain and extend functionalities in CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Translate business and technical requirements into architectural solutions and development guidelines
- Expand the current tool portfolio towards data-centric workflows
- Maintain and update technical documentation to support software development, as well as user guides
- Collaborate effectively in a globally distributed team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, electronics or a related technical field
- 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- C# and Python knowledge
- Ability and motivation to understand complex technical domains and system behaviors
- Practical experience implementing and working within CI/CD pipelines or a DevOps environment
- Proficiency with industry tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)

This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal and requires up to 20 days of travel per year.
