At Paymentology, we’re redefining what’s possible in the payments space. As the first truly global issuer-processor, we give banks and fintechs the technology and talent to launch and manage Mastercard and Visa cards at scale - across more than 60 countries.
Our advanced, multi-cloud platform delivers real-time data, unmatched scalability, and the flexibility of shared or dedicated processing instances. It's this global reach and innovation that sets us apart.
The Service Delivery & Operations Manager is a key member of the Service Delivery team, responsible for ensuring that Paymentology’s platform and services are fully ready for production, successfully launched, and reliably operated at scale.
You will work across Engineering, Product, DevOps, SRE, and Client-facing teams to make sure that new features, integrations, and client launches are not only delivered — but can be operated safely, efficiently, and with full visibility in production.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at the intersection of platform engineering, service operations, and delivery excellence.
What you’ll do
Own production readiness for new features, platform capabilities, integrations, and client onboarding initiatives.
Partner closely with Engineering and Product teams to ensure services are designed with operability, reliability, and scalability in mind.
Act as the operational link between development teams and live production environments.
Ensure smooth service launches, migrations, and integrations, identifying and resolving risks before go-live.
Work with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to understand CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
Monitor service health, reliability, and performance, collaborating with SRE/Engineering on incidents, trends, and root cause analysis.
Define and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support readiness materials.
Support and improve ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, knowledge management) where they add value to service stability.
Track key service reliability metrics (SLA, MTTR, availability, incident trends) and drive continuous improvement.
Support global client onboarding and launches by coordinating cross-functional readiness activities.
Proactively identify operational gaps and risks, driving resolution across teams before they impact production.
What we’re looking for
8+ years of experience in Service Operations, Platform Operations, SRE-adjacent roles, or Technical Program/Delivery roles, ideally in fintech, payments, or SaaS environments.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native architectures (microservices, event-driven systems).
Experience working with Kubernetes-based environments and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with production systems at scale, including monitoring, incident response, and service reliability practices.
Good understanding of payment systems (issuer processing, card schemes like Visa/Mastercard, transaction flows) is a strong advantage.
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams, bridging technical and operational perspectives.
Strong analytical and communication skills, comfortable working with both engineers and senior stakeholders.
Experience with service reliability metrics (SLA, MTTR, availability, incident trends).
Nice to have
Experience in issuer processing, embedded finance, or high-volume transaction platforms.
Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Understanding of compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, data privacy).
Experience working across globally distributed teams and multiple time zones.
Role style
This is a hands-on operational role, not a governance-only position. You will be actively involved in ensuring services are production-ready, reliable, and scalable — working directly with Engineering and Platform teams to close operational gaps and improve system stability.
