The Engineer Specialist is responsible for leading the development and execution of engineering projects, ensuring that Tilray’s equipment and systems are designed, installed, commissioned, and placed into operation in accordance with industry best practices, applicable standards, and business requirements. This position also contributes to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards, while providing technical support across all functional areas in relation to utilities, support systems, and equipment.
The role also supports the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of relevant KPI and ESG monitoring dashboards, supporting performance management, data-driven decision-making, and the achievement of organizational sustainability objectives.
Role and Responsabilities
- Lead the development and execution of engineering projects, from initial assessment through implementation, ensuring that all applicable requirements are properly defined, addressed, and delivered.
- Conduct risk assessment activities related to projects and Equipments, ensuring the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of potential operational risks.
- Participate in regular alignment meetings with the Industrial Engineering Manager and relevant stakeholders to review compliance-related matters, monitor timelines, and evaluate project and operational progress.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in engineering, industrial systems, or a similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of initiatives and coordinate activities effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating sound judgment and accountability.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to high professional standards, quality, and accuracy in work output.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, resilient, and solution-oriented mindset, with a strong ability to address challenges effectively.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to document activities and maintain accurate records in a structured manner.
