About the Role
As an Appian Developer, you will join our Global Technology and Operations division. You will play a key role in accelerating the bank's digital transformation by designing, developing, and implementing robust workflow solutions using the Appian Low-Code platform. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and other IT teams to replace legacy systems and automate complex financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development: Design, build, and deploy end-to-end applications on the Appian platform, including Process Models, Custom Data Types (CDTs), Records, Reports, and complex User Interfaces.
System Integration: Design and implement integrations with core banking systems, databases, and third-party tools using REST/SOAP web services and Appian Integration objects.
Code Quality & Best Practices: Ensure application performance, scalability, and security follow both Appian guidelines and Santander’s internal compliance standards.
Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Code Reviews) to deliver high-quality features iteratively.
Maintenance & Support: Provide tier-3 support for existing Appian applications, debugging issues and optimizing code for better performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in Appian development, process modeling, and system architecture.
Certifications: Appian Certified Associate Developer or Senior Developer is highly valued.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in SAIL (Appian’s expression language).
Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
Understanding of Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
Methodology: Experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework.
Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory, as you will work with global teams. Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
