About the role
Our client is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help build one of the most exciting B2B platform startups in Portugal. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working closely with design and product teams, suggesting improvements to the UI, and having a real say in how things are built.
You’ll be joining a team that breathes software engineering, product quality, and people who care about solving problems the right way.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build new product experiences and interfaces
- Solve technical challenges and continuously improve product usability
- Work closely with teams across different domains to understand customer needs and improve the user experience
- Rapidly iterate on design prototypes and ship fast
- Collaborate with experienced software engineers across the design, development, and maintenance stages of the product
- Contribute ideas and improvements to the way the product is designed and built
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience developing frontend applications, ideally with React
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Good understanding of how software is built, including code quality principles and testing techniques
- A strong product mindset (it’s not just about getting things done, it’s about getting them done the right way)
- Solid understanding of the technical implications behind design decisions
- Good knowledge of software development best practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
- Experience designing and maintaining large UIs with responsive and adaptive design
- You don’t just execute. You enjoy collaborating with designers, product managers, and other engineers to suggest improvements throughout the development process
