We are looking for a QA Analyst (Functional & Automation)
Context
We are reinforcing our QA team with 3 professionals to support a product development environment. This role combines traditional quality assurance activities with a strong focus on test automation and test data management, within a collaborative setup involving Product, Development and Data teams.
Main Mission
Ensure the quality and reliability of applications by designing and executing tests, while also managing and preparing robust test data to guarantee full coverage of business scenarios.
Main Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents
- Create detailed test plans and test cases
- Plan, prioritize and coordinate testing activities
- Execute manual and automated tests
- Perform regression testing across software and infrastructure changes
- Identify, document and track defects using appropriate tools
- Define and monitor QA metrics (defects, coverage, etc.)
- Act as the “voice of the client” during development
Automation & Technical QA
- Build and maintain automated test suites
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes
- Perform white-box and black-box testing
- Test front-end, APIs and data flows
Test Data Management
- Create and manage test data for product development
- Define edge cases and ensure full test coverage
- Develop data masking rules (PHI, PII protection)
- Design documentation for test data provisioning
- Support data conversion, preparation and maintenance
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract and validate data
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, Product Owners, DBAs and technical teams
- Ensure alignment between QA activities and business needs
Profile & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in QA testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Experience working in both functional and technical QA environments
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Proactive and solution-oriented attitude
Technical Skills
- Test automation tools (Python, Swagger, Flask, GitHub)
- Jira & Confluence
- SQL (data analysis and validation)
- API and frontend testing
- Unit and automated testing
Nice to have:
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with test data management strategies
- Knowledge of data privacy (PHI / PII masking)
Hybrid work model, with presence required in Porto office.
