We are looking for a Business Analyst – BI Team
CONTEXT
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a Business Intelligence team in Porto.
This role will support the delivery and evolution of BI solutions used for reporting, supervision, compliance monitoring, and activity steering. The professional will work across the full lifecycle of BI initiatives, from requirements gathering and specification to testing and production deployment, while acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
The environment includes a decision-making ecosystem built on relational databases, ETL processes, and Power BI reporting solutions, supporting data analysis, regulatory needs, management reporting, and business supervision activities.
MAIN MISSION
To contribute to BI projects and application evolutions by gathering requirements, translating business needs into specifications, supporting testing and deployment activities, and ensuring the delivery of reliable reporting and data solutions aligned with business expectations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for BI and reporting needs
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout project delivery
- Participate in project work as well as evolutionary and corrective maintenance activities
- Write functional and technical specifications, workshop reports, and test plans
- Support testing activities and validate solutions before production deployment
- Contribute to the design and evolution of reporting and data solutions in collaboration with BI and technical teams
- Work with data, indicators, and reporting requirements to support business supervision, monitoring, and decision-making
- Facilitate communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders in an international environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BI processes, tools, and deliverables
PROFILE & SKILLS
- +3 of experience in the BI / Data / Reporting world, ideally in a Business Analyst or similar role
- Experience working on BI projects across requirements gathering, specification, testing, and deployment
- Strong ability to work with both technical and functional teams
- Good analytical skills and ability to understand data, indicators, and reporting needs
- Ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data
- Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to structure and facilitate workshops or working groups
- Excellent written communication skills, including functional specifications, reports, and test documentation
- Comfortable working in a transversal and international environment
- Fluent English is required
- French is a strong plus

- SQL / Oracle SQL
- Power BI, especially semantic model design
- SSAS
- Dataflows
- SQL querying
- Confluence
- Jira
- Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban)
- PowerApps is a plus
- Power Automate is a plus
