We are looking for a Clearing Officer
CONTEXT
We are looking for a Clearing Officer to join an international Operations team supporting post-trade activities within a leading investment banking environment.
In this role, you will act as the main point of contact for clients, brokers, and central counterparties (CCPs), ensuring the accurate allocation, clearing, reconciliation, and settlement of trades. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth operational processes, mitigating operational risk, and ensuring excellent service delivery while collaborating with Front Office, Back Office, and external market participants.

MAIN MISSION
To ensure the accurate and timely allocation, clearing, and reconciliation of financial market transactions while providing high-quality operational support to clients and internal stakeholders, maintaining operational excellence and minimizing risk.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the first point of contact for clients, brokers, and CCPs regarding trade allocation and clearing activities.
- Monitor daily trading activity to ensure timely trade allocation and Straight Through Processing (STP).
- Follow up on pending trades and coordinate with brokers to ensure all client transactions are booked on trade date (T).
- Perform reconciliations between internal systems, market platforms, and back-office tools.
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and operational issues.
- Ensure all client requests, queries, and incidents are handled efficiently and within agreed service levels.
- Coordinate communication between clients and Back Office teams.
- Perform close-out activities and market exercises when required.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational risks.
- Participate in projects supporting market releases, system enhancements, and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement.
PROFILE & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree.
- Previous experience in Banking Operations, Capital Markets Operations, Clearing, Settlement, or Trade Support is an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Client-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
