This is a full-time position for a Junior Lawyer based in Lisbon, Portugal. The Junior Lawyer will be tasked with providing legal advice, notably on Portugal Immigration programs, AIMA, preparing and filing various immigration applications and petitions, representing clients in legal proceedings.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Including but not limited to the following:
- Provide legal advice on Portugal immigration matters to clients.
- Prepare and file immigration-related applications and petitions.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings and hearings.
- Assist clients with visa applications, residency permits, and citizenship processes (Portugal Golden Visa, D2, D7, D8).
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
- Submit applications to the relevant Portuguese public entities and ensure proper follow-up and communication with these entities.
- Collaborate with government agencies and other legal professionals.
- Provide support and/or advice to Business Development team in serving clients on immigration cases and support on preparing certifications, agreements/affidavits/case reviews, etc.
- Support in any other ad-hoc projects as directed by the Partners or Senior Associates.
Requirements
- Attorney at law duly registered with the Portuguese Bar Association.
- Experience in immigration (preferred).
- Understanding of immigration laws and regulations in Portugal (preferred; Portugal Golden Visa, D2, D7, D8).
- Advanced level of English (both written and spoken).
- Advanced level of Portuguese (both written and spoken).
