We are looking for a Junior Transfer Settlement Officer
CONTEXT
We are looking for a Junior Transfer Settlement Officer to join an international team in Lisbon.
This role will focus on the settlement of structured high-yield loans traded over the counter, both in the context of primary syndication and secondary market activity. The professional will be responsible for following the settlement lifecycle of trades, coordinating with internal teams and external counterparties, and ensuring that all operational, legal, and payment-related steps are completed accurately and on time.
MAIN MISSION
To ensure the smooth settlement of structured loan trades by monitoring transactions, coordinating documentation, reviewing contracts, processing operations in internal systems, and following up with internal and external stakeholders throughout the settlement process.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor new trades on a daily basis and update internal tracking accordingly
- Collect and validate the relevant buyer documentation required to onboard investors and register the information internally
- Review legal trade documentation and help define the appropriate settlement date
- Process trades in internal systems and coordinate with back-office teams to monitor payments and settlement progress
- Manage questions and follow-up actions with internal stakeholders and external counterparties
- Ensure proper tracking of settlement status and timely escalation of issues when needed
- Support the smooth execution of transfers across the full settlement lifecycle
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and organization when handling documentation, deadlines, and trade information
PROFILE & SKILLS
- Previous experience or strong interest in settlement, loans operations, banking operations, or financial markets operations
- Good understanding of financial operations and willingness to develop knowledge in structured and syndicated loans
- Ability to understand legal and operational terminology related to loan contracts and settlements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Client-oriented mindset with good communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage pressure, and escalate issues when needed
- Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
- Fluent English is mandatory

- Settlement / Operations follow-up
