We're looking for a Mid-level Java Developer to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of a critical derivatives platform that supports both pre-trade and post-trade functionalities for equity-related products. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain application components ensuring quality, security and performance
- Participate in agile-based software development processes including technical analysis, documentation, coding, testing and code reviews
- Collaborate closely with production support teams to manage releases and resolve issues
- Partner with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure timely delivery
- Provide L3 support, troubleshoot incidents and ensure platform stability
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical enhancements for long-term sustainability
Requirements

Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3 years of experience in software development roles
- Strong expertise in Java (version 21 or higher) and Spring frameworks
- Proficiency with relational database systems and SQL
- Knowledge of asynchronous messaging technologies
- Familiarity with frontend or full-stack development using JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular or jQuery (optional)
- Experience with CI/CD processes, build tools like Maven, and version control systems such as Git
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot evolved codebases effectively
- Understanding of software testing principles and requirement analysis
