The GIRC Trainee role is designed to provide hands-on experience and foundational training in IT and cybersecurity operations. Trainees will support the GIRC team in monitoring systems, documenting processes, and assisting with basic technical tasks under supervision. This is an opportunity to learn in a real-world environment and develop skills for a future career in cybersecurity.
What You’ll Do

Assist in monitoring client environments, systems, and networks.

Support the team in documenting incidents and resolutions.

Learn to use ticketing systems and respond to basic technical queries.

Participate in routine maintenance tasks under guidance.

Shadow experienced analysts to understand best practices in customer service and technical troubleshooting.

Attend training sessions and complete assigned learning modules.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education & Certifications:

Currently enrolled in or recently completed technical training (Level 5, CET/CTESP equivalent)

Interest in Networking, Windows Server, Cloud, or Cybersecurity
Experience:

No prior experience required; any academic or personal projects in IT are a plus
