Are you a student eager to turn what you're learning in the classroom into practical finance experience? Do you want to build a strong foundation in accounting while contributing to a multinational organization? Then you might be the person we are looking for.
As our new Trainee Accountant, you will be part of the Finance – Record to Report (R2R) team and play an important role in supporting accurate and timely financial reporting across the business. You will work closely with the R2R, P2P, and O2C teams, as well as other internal stakeholders, to maintain sound financial records, support month-end close, and contribute to audit and compliance activities. This is a great opportunity to gain end-to-end exposure to the Record to Report process within an international organization.
What will your day look like in this role?
Support daily accounting activities within the R2R process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing tasks.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring complete audit trails and proper filing of supporting evidence.
Extract and validate financial data from ERP systems (SAP) and reporting tools (Cognos), helping identify and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare reports and supporting schedules that contribute to timely internal and external reporting deliverables.
Collaborate across finance teams (R2R, P2P, O2C) and with stakeholders to collect, verify, and reconcile accounting information.
Support audit and control activities, including internal and external audit preparation and execution of compliance activities.
What will you bring?
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and a genuine interest in financial processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial systems; previous exposure to SAP is an advantage, not a requirement.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage documentation accurately.
Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn, with good communication skills in English.
Previous internship or student work experience in Finance is a plus.

For this role, the compensation is €500 per month (gross) for 20 working hours per week, corresponding to the level of the position, expected responsibilities, and applicable market benchmarks for student traineeships in Portugal (pro-rated annual equivalent: approximately €6,000 gross at this schedule).
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area, and relevant market benchmarks.
