We’re looking for a Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team and help take care of our 3 hostels in Lisbon.

We’re looking for someone hands-on, practical, organised, and reliable, with good general maintenance knowledge and comfortable dealing with a bit of everything.
From electrical and plumbing issues to painting, furniture repairs, equipment installation, and general maintenance, you’ll help us keep our properties running smoothly and solve day-to-day technical problems as they come up.
Requirements
- Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role
- Good knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, and painting
- Good general knowledge of repairs and maintenance
- Organised and able to manage priorities
- Responsible, autonomous, and able to work independently
- Proactive, dynamic, and solution-oriented
- Ability to coordinate maintenance tasks and external technicians when needed
- Good physical condition, as this is an active and hands-on role
- Valid driving licence
We’re looking for someone hard-working, practical, and positive. We deal with problems every day, so good energy, initiative, and the ability to find solutions make a real difference.
Some of your main responsibilities will include
- General maintenance and repairs across our 3 hostels
- Identifying and solving day-to-day technical issues
- Electrical and plumbing repairs
- Painting and general repairs
- Assembly, disassembly, and installation of furniture and equipment
- Urgent maintenance interventions and quick problem-solving
- Preventive maintenance and regular checks of the properties
- Organising and prioritising maintenance tasks
- Managing maintenance materials, stock, and tools
- Coordinating external technicians and suppliers when specialised work is required
- General technical and operational support across the properties
- Keeping track of ongoing maintenance issues and following up until they are resolved
We’re not looking for someone specialised in only one area. We’re looking for someone practical, resourceful, organised, and comfortable fixing a little bit of everything.
