You will join the T&D Substations team within the Generation and Networks Unit, focusing on civil engineering calculations for HV/MV electrical substations.
The HV and MV Substation Civil Calculations Engineer will be responsible for performing and reviewing structural and civil calculations to support the design and execution of substation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform foundation calculations for HV/MV electrical substations.
Prepare drainage calculations for HV/MV substations.
Develop foundation and structural calculations for control buildings in HV/MV substations.
Prepare earthworks, volume, road, and related civil calculations.
Support the design and engineering of civil works for HV/MV substations through technical analysis and calculation activities.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Technical Engineering, or Technical Architecture.
At least 3 years of experience in civil works calculations for HV/MV electrical substations, including foundations, drainage, earthworks, and structural calculations for substations and control buildings.
Knowledge of Spanish construction regulations applicable to substation projects is a plus.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D, CYPE, and Civil 3D, with working knowledge of QGIS/GvSIG.
Experience with BIM methodology and/or additional structural calculation tools (e.g. SAP2000, Tricalc, STAAD.Pro) is valued.
Knowledge of utility standards and civil design criteria for substations is a plus.
Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, sanitary systems, or fire protection calculations applied to substations is an advantage.
Fluent in Portuguese & English; Spanish is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously within multidisciplinary teams.
Good organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality.
