We are looking for a Roaming Operations Engineer L2 to become the technical escalation point for international roaming operations, ensuring service stability and high availability across global mobile networks.
In this role, you will work closely with international operators, vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve critical incidents, improve operational processes, and support the evolution of next-generation roaming services, including LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 5G Roaming.

Analyze and resolve complex incidents escalated from the L1 support team.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across Mobile Core and International Roaming platforms.
- Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate incident resolution with international operators, equipment vendors, and technology partners.
- Lead technical activities during major incidents and high-impact service disruptions.
- Support change implementations, maintenance windows, and operational validations.
- Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and post-incident reports.
- Mentor and support the technical development of L1 teams.
- Identify automation opportunities and operational improvements.
- Participate in network evolution and operational transformation initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Mobile Core, Roaming Operations, Network Support, or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Strong experience troubleshooting complex telecommunications environments.
- Professional communication skills in Spanish and English (minimum B2).
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Have you worked with LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, or 5G Roaming services?
- Do you have hands-on experience with IMS, IPX, and international roaming interoperability?
- Are you familiar with signaling protocols such as SS7, SIGTRAN, Diameter, and SIP?
- Have you worked with HLR, HSS, UDM, UDR, SBC, DRA, STP, or Security Gateways?
- Do you have experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and managing critical incidents?
- Are you comfortable coordinating with international operators and technology vendors?
- Can you communicate professionally in Spanish and English (B2+)?
- Are you available to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon, with occasional out-of-hours support?
