WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
As an ESG & Sustainability Trainee , you willreport directly to the ESG & Sustainability team and collaborate closelywith professionals across Property Management, Project Management, andAdvisory. In this role, you will support the team in monitoring environmentalperformance, preparing technical analyses, assisting certification processes,and contributing to sustainability initiatives across a diverse portfolio ofreal estate assets.
You will play anactive role in helping clients improve the environmental performance of theirbuildings while gaining exposure to industry-leading sustainability frameworks,certifications, and regulatory requirements.
Your key responsibilities:
Supporting the collection, organization, and analysis of environmental performance data, including energy consumption, carbon emissions, water usage, and waste management Assisting in building sustainability certification processes such as BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and other recognized standards Supporting environmental and energy performance audits and assessments for existing and future developments Monitoring ESG-related regulatory requirements and sustainability trends affecting the real estate sector Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and ESG performance analyses for clients, investors, developers, and building owners Collaborating with internal teams on projects integrating sustainability principles into the design, management, and operation of buildings Supporting the review and management of sustainability-related documentation and evidence Contributing to the development of ESG reporting and data management processes Assisting with stakeholder engagement and coordination with external consultants, assessors, and auditors Providing administrative and operational support to the ESG & Sustainability team as required

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly when working with data Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; knowledge of simulation tools or GIS software is considered a plus Interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental performance in the built environment Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Good English skills, both spoken and written A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset Knowledge of sustainability certification schemes (BREEAM, LEED, WELL, LiderA) or ESG frameworks such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRESB, or Climate Risk Assessment is considered an advantage

You will be part ofCBRE Portugal's ESG & Sustainability team, working alongside specialistsdedicated to improving the environmental performance and resilience of realestate assets.
The teamcollaborates closely with Property Management, Project Management, and Advisoryprofessionals to help clients meet evolving sustainability requirements andachieve their ESG objectives. The environment is collaborative, technical, andfocused on delivering measurable impact across the built environment.
