About the Job:
CME is looking for an experienced Quality Lead (m/f) to support the delivery of a major Data Centre project in Portugal. This senior site-based role will focus on leading the QA/QC function, ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements, and working closely with project, construction, engineering, commissioning, and client teams to deliver works to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain the project quality framework, ensuring compliance with contractual, client and corporate requirements;
- Develop a high-performing QA/QC function through leadership, coaching and consistent application of quality processes;
- Ensure inspection, testing and verification activities are effectively planned, implemented and documented;
- Drive issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives through structured corrective and preventive action processes;
- Promote collaboration between project stakeholders to ensure quality expectations are fully understood and achieved;
- Oversee project quality records and handover deliverables in support of successful project completion.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience in quality management within construction projects will also be considered;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in QA/QC roles on large-scale construction, engineering, infrastructure, Data Centre, industrial, mission-critical, or MEP projects;
- Strong technical understanding of MEP systems, inspection and testing processes, quality documentation, project specifications, applicable standards, and handover requirements;
- Solid knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ITPs, NCR management, audits, corrective actions, documentation control, and continuous improvement processes;
- Proven leadership, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and drive quality performance across all project phases;
- Fluent English, minimum C1 level, both written and spoken, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a strong focus on compliance, operational excellence, and a right-first-time culture.
