Marsh
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Insights Center team at Marsh. This role will be based in Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Insights Center supports the UK and Europe Finance teams. This role will be mainly focused on supporting either continental European teams or the UK's FP&A activity.
We will count on you to:
- Analyze basic financial data and quantitative analyses, in order to support sound and defensible recommendations;
- Review and conduct simple analysis of financial planning information and reports, and make recommendations for changes to management;
- Conduct basic audit activities, in order to comply with requirements;
- Maintain best practices policies, in order to maintain compliance with regulatory standards;
- Communicate with management on a consistent basis, to ensure sound fiscal management;
- Assist in the month end close process by preparing recurring/standard and ad hoc reports, researching general ledger activities and variances to budget and prior year;
- Evaluate financial plans by identifying financial outcomes and potential returns;
- Assist in the development of budgets and quarterly forecasts; tracks and reports initiatives;
- Prepare financial planning information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends;
- Improve financial planning job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
What you need to have:
- 3-6 years of relevant business experience;
- Fluent English level (C1/C2);
- Ability to understand and articulate financial impact or decisions;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Show initiative and contribute to a continuous improvement environment;
- Proficient in MS Office, Advanced Excel (manipulate big data) and PowerPoint;
- Highly proficient in data analysis and data extraction and manipulation;
- Comfortable presenting to regional team members, able to appropriately challenge the team;
- Proven track record of delivering to deadlines;
- Active team player with the ability to work across geographies;
- Be open for new challenges and willing to undertake additional responsibilities.
