The Job
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on hotel systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure their safe, efficient, and continuous operation.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, low-voltage electrical installations, plumbing networks, pumps, motors, and professional kitchen equipment, including lubrication, adjustments, filter replacements, and equipment performance checks.
- Identify potential equipment failures during inspections and report findings with recommendations for corrective actions before issues become critical.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records by documenting inspections, equipment readings, completed work, and preventive maintenance activities in the hotel's maintenance management system.
- Prepare technical reports on equipment condition, energy consumption, and opportunities to improve efficiency or replace obsolete assets.
- Inspect kitchen equipment regularly, recording faults and maintenance requirements in the designated maintenance system.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations by using the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures.
- Perform all work in accordance with applicable legislation and technical standards, particularly when working on gas, water, electrical, and pumping systems.
- Maintain compliance with HACCP standards when carrying out maintenance in food production and kitchen areas.
- Provide technical support to operational departments, including Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Laundry, Front Office, Food & Beverage, by assisting with minor maintenance issues and identifying preventive maintenance needs.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in preventive maintenance
- Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and respond to operational requirements.
