As a Software Developer in our Analytics Team, you will design, build, and further develop our existing data streaming applications that power analytics in a parcel sorting environment. You will work closely with Project and Product Management, as well as cross-functional teams including Product, R&D, and system architecture, to transform real-time operational data into meaningful insights and visualization products.
Your role in our team
Target: you own services end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and operation
Design, and continuously improve existing analytics and streaming applications based on real-time data from parcel sorting systems (Kafka Streams and related technologies)
Implement data integration components (adapters/connectors) to onboard additional data sources
Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards (primarily Grafana)
Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of streaming systems in production
Collaborate closely with Product Management to translate requirements into technical solutions
Support integration teams in using our developed products
Work in interdisciplinary teams, including machine control, system architecture, and operations
Your profile
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
Strong programming experience in Java (production-level experience)
Solid understanding of stream processing concepts and Kafka Streams (or similar frameworks)
Experience in building and maintaining distributed systems and data pipelines
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing
Working knowledge of Groovy or similar JVM-based scripting language
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Negotiation-proof English, written and spoken; German is a plus
