The HR Administrator Europe provides efficient, accurate, and customer-focused HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are delivered consistently and in compliance with company policies and employment requirements.
The role also supports the continuous improvement of HR systems, data integrity, payroll administration, and HR initiatives, enabling the wider HR team to deliver an effective people service across the European business.
Please note that this is a hybrid position, with 3 days on-site at our regional office in Porto and 2 days work from home (WFH).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide high-quality HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring an efficient and professional HR service for the European business.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including pre-employment checks, new starter documentation, inductions, and leaver administration.
- Process employee lifecycle changes, ensuring all correspondence, HRIS updates, and employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing timely support and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Produce HR reports and management information from HR systems to support business decision-making and HR activities.
- Develop expertise as an HRIS Super User, supporting colleagues, maintaining data integrity, and driving continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
- Support the delivery of HR projects, annual HR processes, and people initiatives across the European business.
- Process monthly payroll administration and support annual salary review activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with company policies, employment legislation, and data protection requirements.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and provide general administrative support to the wider HR team to ensure the effective delivery of HR services.
What Experience & Skills You Will Need:
Essential
- Significant experience in a HR Administrator role
- Experience in data processing in HR systems
- Fluent in English language
- Experience of a wide range of administrative duties
- Good IT skills with experience of using MS Word, Excel etc
- General understanding of Data Protection
- Ability to act in a confidential manner at all times
- Ability to work as a team and with flexibility to meet business deadlines
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and be open to learning and upskilling in these tools to continuously improve
- Experience working across numerous countries in Europe
Desirable
- Experience of working in a Manufacturing Industry or similar fast paced environment
- Experience of processing payroll
- Fluent in additional languages (French or German)
