This role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates. The position will participate in customer-focused and internal technical projects supporting the Personal Care business. The role will primarily involve laboratory work, formulation preparation, testing, and technical data generation under the guidance of a Scientist.
Location: Porto, Portugal
Responsibilities
1. You will work within a team to support customer-focused and internal projects for the Personal Care business.
2.You will prepare prototypes and conduct laboratory testing, including analytical evaluations and stability studies, following established procedures and safety standards.
3. You will generate, record, and communicate technical data and experimental results to support project activities and customer requirements.
4. You will support the evaluation of product performance and application characteristics through formulation preparation and testing activities.
5. You will assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and supporting documentation for internal and customer-focused projects.
6. You will maintain laboratory equipment, consumables, and work areas in compliance with quality, safety, and laboratory standards.
7. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives and customer initiatives.

Typically, you will be guided by the innovation manager in decisions related to technical direction, methodologies, approaches and product development processes.

- Intermediate knowledge of laboratory testing, analytical techniques and laboratory safety.
- Basic understanding of formulation principles and product development processes for personal care applications.
- Basic knowledge of the Personal Care industry, market trends, and customer needs.
Position Requirements
1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetic Science or Chemical Engineering.
2. Experience: Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience in formulation development, application testing, technical service, or laboratory-based product development.
3. IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with a strong capability for presentation creation, Project management software.
4. Language Skills: Verbal and written fluency in which English and Portuguese.
5. Working arrangements: Lab position, on site 5 days weekly.
6. Traveling required: Minimal travel, local trade shows and customer visits may be requested.
