As a Full Stack Developer (Frontend-Oriented) on the Buyers team, you'll play a key role in building and enhancing buyer-facing applications that revolutionize the checkout experience for businesses. Leveraging your strong frontend expertise alongside solid backend capabilities, you'll design, build, and refine intuitive, high-performing features that streamline modern checkout and payment experiences.
This is a maternity leave replacement position, for at least 6 months, offering the opportunity to make an immediate impact while working closely with a talented, collaborative engineering team.
Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position, requires working from the Lisbon office 2–3 days per week to collaborate with the team in person.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a fintech environment.

Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, with a passion for building high-quality, user-centric web applications.

Solid experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs, and preferably NestJS.

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to translate design concepts into intuitive, responsive user interfaces.

Experience with frontend testing frameworks and tools, preferably Jest and Playwright.

Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

A collaborative, proactive team player who can also work independently and take ownership of features.

Willingness to work onsite 3 days per week in Lisbon, Portugal, following an initial fully remote onboarding period.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate business requirements into intuitive, high-quality web applications.

Build and enhance user-facing features with a frontend-first mindset, while contributing across the full stack when needed.

Design, develop, and own features end-to-end—from technical discussions and implementation through deployment and production.

Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design reviews to ensure high engineering standards and maintainable code.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the application stack, delivering reliable and scalable solutions.

Write automated tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to maintain code quality and enable rapid, reliable releases.
