A Snapshot of your day
On a day-to-day basis, you will own end-to-end procurement delivery for assigned projects across the full project lifecycle (bid-phase, handover through execution and close-out). You will develop and maintain the project procurement plan and procurement schedule, ensuring the cost-effective and timely supply of materials and services in line with company processes and customer requirements. You will protect safety, quality, delivery and total cost, while providing a responsive, customer-oriented procurement service to support Order Winning, Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Finance.

Drive cost savings and supplier performance to support Grid Technology’s business goals

Lead supplier negotiations and contract implementation and management, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, safety and customer satisfaction

Build and nurture strong supplier relationships to maximize potential of the supply base

Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Sales, Logistics and Legal to deliver best-in-class procurement solutions for bid phase and project go live

Develop and execute project procurement plans aligned to the project schedules and work breakdown structure

Own the project procurement plan, including procurement schedule, package strategy, alignment to the work breakdown structure and key milestones

Manage RFx processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP), evaluate bids with technical stakeholders, prepare award recommendations, and ensure governance approvals are met

Approve and manage purchase orders and contracts, including terms & conditions, scope alignment, change control, and documentation

Coordinate supplier quality requirements support non-conformance resolution, and ensure documentation and certifications meet project and regulatory needs

Manage supplier risks, performance issues and claims (delays, non-conformances, liquidated damages), working with Legal and Project Management to protect contractual entitlements

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, export control/sanctions, supplier due diligence, and sustainability requirements, maintaining a clear audit trail

Support supplier onboarding and qualification including SAP4 readiness

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and transparency
What You Bring
-
Degree in supply chain, business or related field
-
6+ years’ experience in procurement of engineered products and/or services within a project environment
-
Advanced analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language skills are required with any additional European languages being a strong advantage
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP (or equivalent ERP), and analytical tools; demonstrated success delivering digitalization/continuous improvement initiatives

Experience of a service or project business environment

Demonstrated ability to manage contractual risks, supplier claims and variations, working with project teams to protect schedule

Strong knowledge of project procurement practices (RFx, expediting, supplier quality, incoterms/logistics, and change management)

Experience developing procurement strategies for project packages, including bid evaluations, scope clarification, and alignment of technical/commercial requirements

Have sourcing experience preferably in an international capacity

Must be customer focused and a collaborative team player with the ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and act with a sense of urgency

Self-motivated, detail oriented, demonstrate problem solving abilities, decision-making, and continuous improvement skills

You will join a collaborative procurement team supporting Europe & Africa service and project operations, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure reliable and competitive sourcing.
