Generative AI Product Engineer
At Medicare, we're building one of Portugal's most ambitious Enterprise AI ecosystems. We're looking for a Generative AI Product Engineer to help design and scale AI products that create real business impact.
What you'll do:
- Design and build enterprise Generative AI capabilities.
- Engineer prompts, AI workflows and retrieval pipelines.
- Develop and improve Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Design AI evaluation frameworks and benchmark methodologies.
- Build high-quality datasets for AI validation.
- Continuously improve AI quality, accuracy and reliability.
- Prototype and evaluate new LLMs and AI technologies.
- Monitor AI behaviour in production and contribute to AI observability.
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
- 18+ mths Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, reasoning and retrieval strategy and Engineering/LLM observability on an Entreprise-scale AI Gen project.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Proven track record working with AI engineering and LLM observability frameworks such as MLFlow, Langfuse, Arize.
- Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for innovation.
Nice to have:
Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Vector Databases, Langfuse, Grafana AI, or Azure AI Foundry.
