Job Description
Inviting applications for the role of Insurance_Control Analyst
Responsibilities
-
Analyze trial balances, profit and loss (P&L), and balance sheets (B/S).
-
Continuously improve processes by challenging conventions and identifying root causes of problems; define and implement improvements to standardize and automate processes.
-
Deliver, monitor, maintain, and enhance internal controls for accounting and reporting.
-
Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes.
-
Implement new control points and ensure procedures are error-free and updated.
-
Conduct quality control and risk mitigation analysis over financial reporting.
-
Address control weaknesses using expertise to compile and analyze data, recommending corrective actions.
-
Support internal and external audits, budget, and forecast in controlling functions.
-
Validate all controls and sign-offs for month, quarter, and year-end.
-
Perform key data controls and matrix segregation of duties (SOD) analysis.
-
Conduct DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) analysis.
-
Assist financial controller and financial controller assistant as needed.

Prepare quality and controls reports.
-
Provide the finance team with various ad hoc analyses as required.

Help identify and mitigate business risks.

Ensure full documentation of processes and support process reviews.
Qualifications we seek in you!

Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent.
-
Knowledge of non-life insurance accounting, particularly in P&L and B/S.

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail; ability to produce high-quality output under pressure.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain findings clearly.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan workload to meet deadlines.
-
Results-driven with energy and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Creative, proactive, logical, and innovative mindset with a can-do attitude.

Critical thinking skills to interpret analysis results and communicate key information effectively.

Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships within and outside the finance team.

Demonstrated personal integrity by fulfilling commitments.

Experience working in a matrix environment; flexibility in working hours may be required.

Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methods.

Experience in an office environment, ideally in a multinational, multilingual setting.

Change experience preferred; finance experience required.

Experience in insurance or financial services is advantageous.

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and ERP systems; quick adaptation to internal systems.

Strong communication skills and ability to be a team player; initiate and facilitate process change and improvement.

Proactive and driven to achieve goals and objectives; flexibility to travel as needed.

Ability to support team members and the business overall; work independently when necessary.

Timely decision-making impacting service delivery; challenge conventions to enhance efficiency and quality of financial support.

Familiarity with SUN or other accounting general ledger systems is helpful.
