Overview: We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Sales professional to drive our international commercial operations from our Porto office. This is a fast paced 100% in-office role responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies, and personally contributing to revenue through individual sales targets.
Our portfolio includes international consulting services, market intelligence, research reports, conferences, and seminars sold to a global client base. There are no clients in Portugal; clients are world-wide and all business communication is conducted 100% in English (spoken and written). Occasional international travel is expected to participate in conferences and seminars that the company organizes (recent locations include Turkey and Mexico).
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Meet and exceed individual sales and revenue targets
- Execute the global sales and client acquisition strategy, including cold calls, email out reach to self-generate business leads and opportunities
- Present products and services verbally and orally via phone calls, emails, webinars at conferences
- Lead new business development, including identifying new accounts and opportunities, manage strategic client accounts, and drive expansion into new markets
- Ensure pipeline health, lead quality, and effective follow-up through CRM systems
Team Participation
- Work collaboratively with team of sales and marketing professionals
- Achieve performance goals, monitor KPIs, and participate in regular feedback and reviews
- Align efforts with overall commercial objectives
CRM, Project Management & Reporting
- Optimize use of CRM tools for lead tracking, segmentation, and reporting
- Ensure timely reporting of commercial performance and resource utilization
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales pipeline, marketing effectiveness, and individual performance
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in international B2B sales and marketing, ideally in events, consulting, research, or professional services
- Strong track record of sales performance, client acquisition, and account growth
- Proven experience in successful high-performing commercial teams
- Deep knowledge of CRM systems, sales forecasting, and marketing platforms
- Fluent/native-level English (spoken and written) is mandatory – all communications are in English
- Must be based in Porto and available for 100% in-office work (no exceptions)
- Excellent organization, communication, and decision-making skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and performance metrics
