Sales Assistant / Front of House
FULL TIME / PART TIME
BAAN Canteen is looking for enthusiastic, dynamic, friendly and customer-oriented Sales Assistants / Front of House Team Members to join our growing team.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you will provide excellent customer service while ensuring smooth daily operations in our vibrant Thai food concept.
Reporting to: Front of House Manager
Position Details
- Start date: August 2026 (or as soon as possible)
- Location: Lisbon Oriente, Centro Comercial Vasco da Gama
- Concept: Thai food corner with an unique concept
- Working hours: 40 hours per week / 25 hours per week
- Schedule: 5 working days per week, according to operational needs (including evenings, weekends and public holidays)
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and serve customers with a warm, friendly and professional attitude, ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Prepare and maintain the dining and service areas before, during and after service.
- Prepare beverages and assist with simple food preparation when required.
- Restock products and monitor inventory levels.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure the restaurant remains clean, organised and presentable throughout the shift.
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure efficient service.
- Assist colleagues with daily operational tasks as required.
- Report operational issues, customer feedback and any incidents to the Front of House Manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is an advantage, but not essential.
- Passion for customer service and hospitality.
- Dynamic, energetic and always smiling, with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, organised and proactive.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Immediate availability is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate in Portuguese and English (additional languages are a plus).
