Night Auditor – Safestay Lisbon Bairro Alto
Safestay, an international hostel brand, is looking to strengthen its Night Reception team at our unique property in the heart of Lisbon. If you enjoy working in a dynamic, multicultural environment focused on delivering outstanding guest service, this is your opportunity!
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests during the night shift, ensuring friendly, professional, and efficient service;
- Perform check-ins and check-outs;
- Answer telephone calls and respond to guest requests;
- Respond to emails and manage communications through online booking platforms (OTAs), ensuring prompt and professional responses;
- Ensure the safety and well-being of guests throughout the shift;
- Monitor common areas and report any incidents or issues;
- Perform night audits and associated administrative reception duties;
- Communicate effectively with other shifts to ensure seamless service continuity;
- Use Cloudbeds software for reservation management processes;
- Prepare the breakfast area for the morning service, ensuring the buffet is correctly presented;
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area;
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and fully prepared for handover to the morning team;
- Carry out regular inspections of bathrooms and shower areas, ensuring high cleanliness standards and reporting any maintenance requirements;
- Assist in resolving operational issues that may arise during the night shift;
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction by complying with the property's policies and procedures;
- Provide information about the hostel, its services, and the city of Lisbon.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum secondary school education (12th grade) preferred;
- Qualification in Hospitality or Tourism preferred;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role (preferred);
- Fluency in English (essential); additional languages will be considered an advantage;
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Cloudbeds software (preferred);
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and problem-solving abilities;
- High level of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism;
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service;
- Ability to work independently during the night shift;
- Availability to work night hours;
- Immediate availability.
