Cultivation Cleaning Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cultivation Cleaning & Sanitation Technician to join our Sanitation team in Pegões. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within cultivation areas, supporting healthy plant growth and ensuring compliance with GACP and GMP requirements.
The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and contamination-free cultivation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of cultivation rooms, propagation areas, corridors, and supporting facilities
- Clean and disinfect cultivation equipment, tools, benches, carts, containers, and work surfaces according to approved procedures
- Prepare cultivation rooms before planting and perform complete sanitation after harvest
- Follow cleaning schedules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
- Safely prepare, use, and store approved cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- Maintain accurate cleaning records and complete all required documentation
- Identify and report cleanliness, maintenance, or compliance concerns to the Sanitation Team Lead
- Support deep cleaning activities during room changeovers and facility shutdowns
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report damaged or missing materials
- Comply with all hygiene, PPE, GACP, GMP, and Health & Safety requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning, sanitation, agriculture, horticulture, pharmaceutical, food production, or a similar environment is preferred
- Comfortable working around plants and within controlled cultivation environments
- English proficiency is mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene
- Ability to follow procedures accurately and consistently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks

Reports directly to the Sanitation / Cleaning Team Lead.
