We are looking for a professional responsible for the application engineering of signalling interlocking (IXL) software, in line with project and product specifications. The role includes defining hardware and software specifications, interface requirements, communication interfaces and documentation, as well as supporting the execution of static and dynamic tests when required.
This role offers you the possibility to collaborate in an international and multidisciplinary engineering team, facing challenging projects both in the national and international markets.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

Project requirements analysis and traceability
- Generation of the Specific Application SW configuration data related to IXL Subsystem.
- Generation and management of the design change requests related to IXL Subsystem
- Creation and review of interface specification between IXL and other systems.
- Creation of project specific documentation regarding IXL (track parameters, track map, safety documentation, etc.).
- Provide customer training.
- Provide support to project installation and maintenance works.
- Reporting of progress & planning of IXL activities.
- Communication and collaboration with other engineering areas and Mobility departments.
- Proactively identifies areas of innovation, opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or similar area.
- Knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft tools, Windows, Word, Excel, Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to foster effective work in a cross-functional, multinational, and diverse environment.
- Multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Continuous improvement mind-set as a must.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- 3+ years of professional experience in related area.
- Team player, good communication skills, and a results-oriented approach.
Experience in the following technologies and domains is considered a plus:

Previous experience in a Rail Signalling business (preferably within IXL signalling technologies for applications in mainline concepts; architecture etc.. (e.g., ETCS/ERTMS), Freights and Light Rail.
- Experience in international projects and ability to work with teams distributed in several countries.
- Advanced capabilities in data analysis by use of tools eg: Microsoft Excel, including creation VBA macros, Python etc..
- Experience in Requirements Management, specification, traceability, and validation. Knowledge of requirements management tools such as DOORS, PRODIS.
- Knowledge of CENELEC standards (eg: CENELEC EN50126/8/9) and V-life Cycle models
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Subversion, PVCS
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally if required.
