What You’ll Do
We are currently seeking an experienced Total Rewards & Payroll who is looking for an exciting project with Accenture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate the enterprise Total Rewards strategy into local execution plans for Portugal, driving continuous improvement and market competitiveness.
- Own the end-to-end compensation and payroll cycles, including salary reviews, promotions, adjustments, payroll processing, accounting, reconciliation, and system integration.
- Lead benefits administration and optimization (medical, life, disability, retirement, flexible benefits, wellbeing), ensuring service quality and strong employee experience.
- Provide market intelligence and analytics (benchmarks, surveys, scenario modeling, cost and impact analysis) to inform compensation structures, incentives, and budget planning.
- Ensure full compliance with labor law, payroll regulations, tax and social security requirements, maintaining governance controls and audit readiness.
- Draft, maintain, and operationalize Total Rewards and Payroll policies, frameworks, and guidelines, including salary ranges, job architecture, and eligibility rules.
- Act as the primary Total Rewards & Payroll point of contact, managing escalations, exception handling, and partnering closely with HR, Talent, Finance, Legal, and external vendors.
- Deliver clear reporting, dashboards, communications, and enablement materials to support informed decision-making by HR, managers, and business leaders.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement through SOPs, quality controls, and simplification initiatives.
What You Bring
–Minimum 5 years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, and Payroll.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of compensation structures, incentives, benefits administration, payroll processes, and regional labor law.
- Experience with pay equity diagnostics, recognition, and wellbeing programs.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data validation); strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
- High attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines, and strong issue resolution and root-cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll and compensation topics to non-experts.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
