Located in the heart of Lisbon’s vibrant Baixa district, along the city’s main pedestrian street, Rua Augusta, the hotel is spread across five distinct buildings, including the former headquarters of one of Portugal’s major banks, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI).
The central building houses 170 guestrooms, while the four surrounding satellite buildings offer a selection of exclusive private suites. We are looking for a Cook for our Staff Canteen to join the team at Andaz Lisbon- Someone who takes pride in preparing nourishing, high-quality meals, with a passion for creating a welcoming and positive dining experience for our colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present meals (lunch, dinner), ensuring each item meets the quality, creativity, and presentation standards of Andaz Lisbon;
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized kitchen environment, adhering to all hygiene and food safety standards;
- Apply culinary techniques, portion control, and service excellence in line with hotel standards;
- Follow production plans to ensure efficient and timely service execution;
- Prepare and handle a variety of ingredients, including meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, and fruits;
- Assist with the organization and movement of kitchen equipment between workstations, cooking areas, and storage spaces;
- Keep workstations and equipment clean, sanitized, and ready for service at all times;
- Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of all food products in compliance with internal standards and applicable regulations.
