We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and qualified Primary English Teacher to join our Junior School team. In our bilingual model, you will act as the English Homeroom Teacher, delivering high-quality English language, literacy, and core subject instruction. You will work in close partnership with a Portuguese Homeroom Teacher to ensure a balanced, immersive, and supportive learning environment for young learners.
- Deliver Curriculum: Plan and deliver high-quality primary lessons aligned with the English curriculum framework.
- Differentiate Learning: Adapt teaching materials effectively to support students with diverse academic and linguistic needs.
- Assess Progress: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student growth and track academic progress.
- Manage Classroom: Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive room environment that supports student well-being.
- Collaborate Daily: Partner with the Portuguese Homeroom teacher to co-manage class routines and student welfare.
- Communicate Openly: Maintain proactive, clear, and professional communication with parents regarding student achievement.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Certification: Internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or national equivalent).
- Languages: Native-level or near-native English fluency (minimum C2 level) with strong communication skills.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching primary-aged children (Ages 6–10), ideally within an international or bilingual school.
- Mindset: Tech-savvy approach, strong multicultural awareness, and a deep commitment to child safeguarding.
