We are recruiting Healthcare Assistants / Direct Support Professionals to join a care team in Ireland.
The main purpose of this role is to support residents in their daily lives through a person-centred approach, promoting their independence, dignity, well-being, social inclusion and active participation in the community.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans;
- Support residents with personal hygiene, meals, daily routines and household tasks;
- Accompany residents to community activities, appointments and personal goals;
- Promote autonomy, choice, dignity and respect at all times;
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families and support teams;
- Maintain up-to-date records and comply with health, safety and care procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Healthcare, Social Care, Psychology, Social Work or similar areas;
- Healthcare Assistant course or equivalent qualification, preferably Level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework;
- Previous experience in a care setting;
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Responsible, adaptable and committed to person-centred care.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities;
- Experience in rehabilitation settings;
- Driving licence;
- Additional training in the area of intellectual disabilities.
Salary and Working Hours:
- Monday to Saturday: €17.15/hour;
- Sunday: €18.65/hour;
- 40-hour week: approximately €35,672/year;
- 12-hour day or night shifts available;
- Sleepover shifts may be required, depending on the service.
Relocation Support Package – up to €5,000
This support may include:
- Travel / flights / transport support;
- Accommodation support for 90 days;
- Initial voucher to help with settling into new accommodation.
Please note: relocation support may be subject to a repayment agreement if the contract ends within the first 12 months.
