Role Description As an Online Tutor (Independent Contractor) at Fun Learning Together, you will provide live online lessons to students in your area of expertise, helping them reach personal, academic, or professional goals. You will design engaging lesson plans, adapt teaching methods to different learning styles, and use online tools to deliver interactive, supportive sessions. Daily responsibilities include preparing materials, conducting virtual classes, tracking student progress, and communicating with learners. You will manage your own schedule, set your availability on the platform, and maintain clear, timely communication with students regarding bookings and lesson changes. This is a remote role that offers flexibility to teach from anywhere in the world as an independent contractor.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in at least one teaching area (e.g., languages, academic subjects, creative skills, technology, fitness, or business).
- Proficiency with online teaching tools and platforms, including video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and shared documents.
- Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts in an accessible and encouraging way.
- Experience designing lesson plans, structuring learning activities, and adapting content to different ages and skill levels.
- Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment for diverse learners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle scheduling, lesson preparation, and student follow-up independently.
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience (online or in-person) is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education, training, or certifications in your teaching domain are a plus.
