The Patent and Trademark Administrator will provide secretarial support to attorneys and technical specialists related to the patent prosecution process including: assisting with preparing applications, responses and other patent prosecution documents for filing with the Portuguese (INPI) and European Patent Office (EPO) and reporting filings to clients; monitoring, processing, and assisting with completing attorney’s dockets; preparing routine correspondence, reading and routing mail, maintaining patent files, and screening attorney’s incoming telephone calls; performing research and compiling data as requested by attorneys; and other duties as assigned.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent English skills is mandatory. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects. Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and be a strong team player.
