Job Purpose
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting employees, managers, and operational teams at our Águeda manufacturing site. This position is focused on Employee Relations, ensuring a positive work environment, providing day-to-day Human Resources support, and contributing to the effective implementation of people processes and initiatives across the plant.
A glimpse of your daily mission
Act as the main Human Resources point of contact for employees, providing visible and accessible support across the production environment.
Build strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers to foster engagement, trust, and open communication.
Support managers in handling attendance, performance, employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
Ensure the consistent application of Human Resources policies, procedures, and employment practices.
Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, contract administration, medical examinations, and offboarding processes.
Support timekeeping activities, ensuring accurate records of attendance, overtime, working schedules, and absences.
Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies and coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and administration of temporary workers.
Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives across operational and business functions.
Support employee engagement activities, internal communication initiatives, and workplace events.
Contribute to Human Resources reporting, compliance activities, process improvements, and organizational projects.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 to 4 years of professional experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proven experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources Operations, and temporary workforce management.
Knowledge of recruitment, learning and development, and employee lifecycle processes.
Understanding of payroll and timekeeping practices.
Strong knowledge of Portuguese labour legislation.
Experience working with Human Resources information systems; experience with SAP SuccessFactors is considered an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all organizational levels.
Fluent English, both written and spoken; Spanish is a plus.
