To strengthen our purchasing team in Portugal, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Operational Buyer. In this role, you will ensure the availability of materials, manage supplier relationships, and support procurement processes in a dynamic international environment.
What can you expect?
- Availability Assurance: Ensure the continuous availability of required materials and components for production.
- Operational Procurement Processing: Execute purchasing activities, including RFQs, quotation comparisons, purchase order processing, order follow-up, and delivery monitoring.
- Supplier Coordination & Second Source Management: Coordinate suppliers, support second-source initiatives, and resolve delivery deviations to ensure supply continuity and mitigate risks.
- Indirect Material Procurement: Procure indirect materials necessary for operations and services.
- ERP & Master Data Management: Maintain and manage purchasing-related master data and processes within SAP S/4HANA.
- Communication & Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and international teams.
- Supplier Performance Support: Support supplier evaluations regarding delivery performance, quality, and adherence to deadlines.

- Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Up to 2 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Technical Know-how: Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes. Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA) and strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
- Working Style: Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven working approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive and reliable mindset in an international environment.
- Languages: Very good written and spoken Portuguese and English.
