What You'll Do
The Global Risk Function’s goal is to proactively detect, manage and mitigate risks at BCG while addressing the evolving business needs and the ever-changing risk landscape of the firm. The Risk Function comprises seven teams: Compliance, Assurance & Advisory, Enterprise Risk Management, Strategy & Operations, Data Protection, Global Security, and Information Security. Collectively, we are all on a mission to enable the business, navigate and mitigate any risks proactively, and protect the business with effective controls. We support embedding a risk-based mindset to each office, internal function, Managing Director and Partner (MDP), and all employees who ultimately bear the responsibility of our actions as the collective front line at the firm.
The Risk Strategy and Operations (S&O) Team is dedicated to working across the broader Global Risk function and stakeholders to create a holistic strategy to carry forth and execute on the function’s vision. Additionally, the S&O team focuses on operational excellence to drive growth, scale, digitization, identify synergies, and foster a collaborative and positive culture within the Risk to maximize our teams’ engagement and value to BCG.
We are looking to recruit an Analyst to provide analytical, operational, and project support across our team as we drive operational excellence, execute strategic Risk initiatives, and foster a OneRisk culture as BCG continues to scale. This role provides the opportunity to develop strategy, operations, and project management experience while partnering closely with colleagues across the Global Risk function to support a diverse portfolio of strategic and operational initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this role, you will work alongside the Global Risk Strategy & Operations team to support strategic projects, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness across the Global Risk function. You will gain exposure to a wide range of strategic and operational initiatives while developing analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills. Working closely with teammates and stakeholders across Risk and corporate functions, you will contribute to scalable solutions that strengthen how Global Risk operates and delivers value to BCG.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:

Support and engage on our strategic risk initiatives through content development, framework development, research, analyses or documentation; support project management efforts to foster a risk aware culture at BCG

Assist in developing strategic materials, frameworks, and analyses that support Global Risk's priorities and long-term objectives.

Support the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of S&O ongoing operational activities (Agenda shaping, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, etc.) while identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve team effectiveness.

Support initiatives related to our people agenda and Employee Value Proposition, including affiliation, engagement, learning, and team effectiveness activities.

Partner with colleagues across HR, Finance, Learning & Development, and other corporate functions to support initiatives that strengthen collaboration, organizational effectiveness, and the OneRisk culture.

Develop analyses, and reporting that help measure initiative progress, identify trends, and support leadership decision making.

Coordinate project activities by tracking milestones, maintaining documentation, organizing project plans, and supporting successful execution across multiple initiatives.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field

1-4 years of experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and experience creating creative and effective PowerPoint slides for various audiences

Interest in risk management, strategy, operations, and the consulting industry

Ability to adapt and prioritize with a changing workload and comfort with project style work

Strong interest in international business, culture, and learning how business practices vary around the world. This role will include working with a team of international colleagues.

Experience with leveraging data outputs to synthesize compelling stories into key outputs for leadership. Experience with Excel, Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools is a plus

Prior experience working in a team environment; being an effective team player will be a critical success factor in this role

Prior experience in a Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, or policy creation and implementation function is a plus
Who You'll Work With
This role will support the Risk Strategy and Operations Team and will require frequent interaction with all members of the broader Risk Function, including those located in different geographies and time zones.
