This is a high-impact, multi-hat role on our Finance team, reporting to Sr. Manager FP&A, and it is not a commissions-only seat. You will start by owning sales commissions end-to-end for our ~200-person global sales organization in CaptivateIQ — but commissions are the anchor, not the ceiling.
Once our comp processes are running cleanly and predictably under your ownership, your scope will broaden into go-to-market (GTM) analytics, Salesforce data hygiene, and ARR-to-ACV reconciliation. Over time, you'll become a connective tissue across Sales, RevOps, and Finance.
We're looking for a self-starter who is energized by wearing multiple hats, thrives in ambiguity, and gets satisfaction from turning manual, error-prone processes into clean, scalable ones. If you want to do nothing but run commissions, this isn't the role. If you want commissions to be your foundation and then keep expanding your impact, read on.
This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, Portugal with a requirement to be in the office 3 days per week.
Run all commissions processes end-to-end in CaptivateIQ for a ~200-person sales organization, including plan setup, calculation, payout, and reporting.
Partner with Sales and Finance leadership on comp plan strategy and design — translating business goals into plan logic that drives the right behavior.
Build and maintain complex plan logic: quotas, tiers, accelerators, draws, SPIFFs, and special incentives.
Manage the monthly and quarterly commission close, including accruals and the handoff to payroll, accurately and on deadline.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the sales team's comp questions, and own inquiry and dispute resolution.
Build and maintain reporting and dashboards on attainment, payout, and plan effectiveness for reps and leadership.
Continuously improve and document commissions processes, controls, and audit trails.
GTM analytics: Build reporting and analysis that helps leadership understand pipeline, attainment, productivity, and the levers behind performance.
Salesforce data integrity: Drive cleanup and ongoing hygiene of Salesforce data so it serves as a reliable single source of truth for crediting, reporting, and the rest of the GTM function.
ARR-to-ACV reconciliation: Reconcile bookings and revenue data across systems, resolve discrepancies, and ensure the numbers feeding commissions and reporting are accurate and consistent.
Cross-functional projects: Take on ad hoc analysis and process-improvement projects across RevOps and Finance, owning them end-to-end.
At least 2 years of hands-on, full-cycle sales commissions administration in CaptivateIQ or a comparable incentive compensation tool (e.g., Xactly, Spiff, Varicent).
Prior experience working at a SaaS company (required).
A genuine self-starter who takes ownership, works independently, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel / Google Sheets ability.
Working familiarity with Salesforce and the kind of data it produces for GTM teams.
Strong attention to detail and the discipline to hit recurring close and payroll deadlines.
Clear communication skills — you can explain comp and data concepts simply to reps, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, Portugal with a requirement to be in the office 3 days per week.
Familiarity with SaaS revenue metrics — ARR, ACV, bookings — and the relationships between them.
A demonstrated interest in applying AI and automation tools (e.g., Claude) to streamline manual work and improve commissions, reporting, and operational processes
Experience in a high-growth environment.
Exposure to an ERP (e.g., NetSuite) and to the broader sales tech stack.
