We’re looking for a Head of Operations to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our 3 hostels in Lisbon.
Full time position.
We’re looking for someone organised, practical, proactive, and good with people. Someone who can support our managers, keep an eye on the bigger picture, and make sure our properties, teams, and operations are running smoothly.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll work closely with the hostel managers and the ownership team, helping solve problems, improve processes, organise priorities, and make our operations better every day.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality operations, management, or a similar role
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing or coordinating teams
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Proactive, dynamic, and solution-oriented
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Comfortable working across different properties and teams
- Good understanding of hospitality operations
- Ability to analyse problems and improve processes
- Fluent English
- Valid driving licence
We’re looking for someone practical, hard-working, and positive. Hospitality is full of unexpected situations, so good energy, common sense, and the ability to find solutions are a big part of the role.
Some of your main responsibilities will include
- Overseeing the daily operations of our 3 hostels
- Supporting and coordinating hostel managers
- Making sure operational standards and procedures are followed
- Identifying problems and helping find practical solutions
- Improving processes, systems, and day-to-day operations
- Following up on maintenance issues and coordinating priorities
- Coordinating suppliers, external technicians, and service providers
- Supporting purchasing and stock organisation
- Helping managers organise teams and daily priorities
- Monitoring guest experience and identifying areas for improvement
- Following up on ongoing operational issues until they are resolved
- Helping implement new tools, systems, and ways of working
- Working closely with the ownership team on new ideas and improvements
