Senior Data Engineer / BI Analytics Engineer
Responsibilities
Lead the rollout and adoption of ThoughtSpot across business domains
Gather and document business requirements for analytics and reporting use cases
Translate business needs into curated datasets, semantic models and analytics solutions
Map business requirements to available Data Lake / Lakehouse datasets
Support ingestion and publication of Gold and Presentation Layer data into ThoughtSpot AI Catalog
Design and maintain semantic models, reusable metrics and business definitions
Build dashboards, Liveboards, charts and AI-ready analytics experiences
Drive business adoption through demos, enablement sessions and stakeholder engagement
Collect user feedback and continuously improve dashboards and use cases
Collaborate closely with data engineers, IT teams and business stakeholders
Support AI initiatives involving Databricks, ThoughtSpot and advanced analytics
Skills
+5 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI or Analytics Engineering
Strong SQL skills (mandatory)
Experience with Data Lake / Lakehouse architectures (preferably Databricks)
Strong data modeling and semantic layer design experience
Hands-on experience with BI tools and dashboard development (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
Experience with Python and/or PySpark
Experience with ThoughtSpot (preferred)
Experience with Databricks (preferred)
Understanding of GenBI and natural-language analytics concepts (preferred)
Experience with energy, utilities, solar, finance or asset management data (preferred)
Ability to translate business requirements into impactful analytics solutions
Strong communication skills with business and non-technical stakeholders
Experience preparing demos, documentation and enablement materials
Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory)
