Business Development Account Manager
Company: Amazonia Bio
Location: Cascais, Portugal (100% On-site)
Job Type: Full-time (Work Hour Exemption / High Flexibility Required)
About Amazonia Bio
We export organic, premium ingredients sourced from the Amazon rainforest to global food, beverage, cosmetic, and supplement industries. We operate with a lean, fast-paced, startup mentality. We have a strong "founder-led" culture where ownership, speed, and execution are valued above all else.
We do not micromanage, but we hold people strictly accountable for their results. If you are looking for a standard 9-to-5, slow-paced corporate environment with strict routine boundaries, this is not the place for you. But if you are driven by hitting targets, managing high stakes, and seeing the direct impact of your work, you will thrive here.
The Role
As our Business Development Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving international B2B sales growth. You will own the entire sales cycle—from hunting and prospecting new global accounts to nurturing, expanding, and retaining our active client portfolio.
You will work directly under high-performance expectations, requiring resilience, fast decision-making, and a strong sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active Prospecting (Hunter): Identify, target, and close new high-volume B2B accounts globally (mainly North America and Europe).
- Account Management (Farmer): Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, securing re-orders, upselling, and ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Target Ownership: Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales revenue goals.
- International Negotiation: Structure and close complex supply contracts, managing pricing, volume commitments, and global logistics alignment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Supply Chain and Quality teams to ensure client orders are fulfilled on time and up to standard.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements):
- Proven B2B Sales Track Record: Experience in international B2B sales, account management, or business development (experience in food ingredients, organic commodities, or logistics is a major plus).
- English Fluency (Mandatory): You will negotiate with international clients daily. Spanish or other European languages are highly valued.
- Ownership Mindset: You act like an owner. When a problem arises, you don't pass the buck—you solve it.
- Resilience & Drive: Comfortable working under pressure, managing tight deadlines, and dealing with direct feedback and high-performance demands.
- 100% On-site Presence: Based daily in our Cascais office.
- Schedule Flexibility: Due to the nature of global trade and timezone differences, you must be willing to handle urgent client matters outside standard office hours when necessary.
What We Offer:
- Competitive base salary + uncapped performance-based commission (the more you close, the more you earn).
- A high-growth environment with no corporate red tape—your results are recognized immediately.
- The chance to work directly with the leadership team and scale an international business.
To Apply:
If you have a hunter mentality, love the thrill of closing deals, and want to build something big, submit your CV in English.
