Job Description
We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Administrative team , playing a key role in managing our accounting and financial operations. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for numbers, and a drive to grow in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!
This position is based in the city of Maia in Portugal.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Support: Organize and register financial documents, perform bank reconciliations, and assist with monthly closing tasks.
Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, monitor expenditures, handle payment inquiries, and reconcile entries against system reports.
Payroll & Expenses: Verify employee expense reports and assist HR with the preparation of salary disbursements.
Tax & Collections: Support collections tasks and help gather documentation to ensure fiscal compliance alongside the Chartered Accountant.
Reporting & Admin: Prepare data for the monthly F&A department meeting, follow team work instructions, and handle general administrative tasks.
Must Have
Degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent field;
Fluent in English (written and spoken);
You must be open to (and excited by) using AI tools.
Strong communication skills;
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Nice to Have
TOC certification;
Additional languages;
Relevant accounting experience.
